The registration is automatic for all Portuguese citizens (and Brazilian citizens with Equal Political Rights Status) residing in the Portuguese territory and aged 17 or older.
Portugueses living abroad can decide whether to vote for Portuguese MEPs or the MEPs in the country they are living. The voting is made by post. -
The deadline to register is up to the 60th day before the election.

Identification document or any other official document containing an up-to-date photograph (Passport or Driving Licence, etc.).

Nationals of EU member countries and Brazilian citizens, with Equal Political Rights Status can vote in European elections in Portugal.
