Political Programmes
EUROPEAN PEOPLE’S PARTY (EPP)
The EPP believes that there is no contradiction between being proud of one's region, country, and the European Union. The party believes that it is important for young people to have the opportunity to explore their continent and discover ideas and opportunities that will help them succeed in the future. In this context they advocate for Erasmus+ for all and Discover EU for under 18.
PROGRESSIVE ALLIANCE OF SOCIALISTS AND DEMOCRATS (S&D)
The S&D is committed to creating a Europe that puts people first and ensures that everyone has the opportunity to thrive. They believe that social rights should be given equal priority to economic and environmental goals.
RENEW EUROPE
Renew stands for better local opportunities by preserving the environment, improving public health and building a sustainable economy. Besides, they aim to make Erasmus+ even more ambitious by supporting proposals to increase the budget of the programme. They also advocate for the recognition across the EU of apprenticeship, vocational training and lifelong learning.
THE GREENS/ EUROPEAN FREE ALLIANCE (EFA)
The Greens/EFA recognises the important role of the EU as an international and accountable actor through the considerable means it has at its disposal (common trade policy, development aid, diplomacy, mediation, conflict prevention, etc.). They want that role to be aligned with the environmental, social and democratic objectives the EU sets itself and the universal norms, values and principles it is based upon.
EUROPEAN CONSERVATIVES AND REFORMISTS (ECR)
The European Conservatives and Reforminsts Group belives there should be a profound reflection on the current state of Europe leading to a fundamental review of the functioning of the European Union, since the EU has become too centralised, too ambitious, and too out of touch with ordinary citizens.
IDENTITY AND DEMOCRACY (ID)
The Identity and Democracy Party opposes the idea of pan - European election lists and European constituency since they would not bring the European dimension closer to the citizens. They also oppose a new European Electoral Authority. They think that only member states' national authorities can get closer to the European citizens.
THE LEFT—GUE/ NGL
The European Left advocates for a Europe that promotes the social economy for its values of democratic management of businesses, wealth sharing, solidarity, territorial articulation. The European Left advocates for the empowerment of individuals in the economy, with decent and high-quality employment, and an ambitious and emancipatory social and cultural model.
