How to vote in Greece

You have to vote in specific polling stations based on your home address.
If you are a Greek citizen living in another EU country, You have to vote in person in special polling stations designated by the government, such as Greek diplomatic missions or other suitable premises, in the EU country where you are temporarily, or reside permanently.

No registration is needed for Greek nationals living in the territory.
If you are a Greek citizen living abroad, you have to register with your local Greek Embassy or Consulate in advance. Polling outside Greece is expected to take place one day earlier, i.e. on 8 June.

You don’t need to register in advance, as it is done automatically by the authorities.

You should bring your ID or passport, which will be checked. The identification of voters can also be done using the digital identity application.

EU nationals from other EU Member States need to register with their municipality.

Preferential Voting System.
In 2024, 21 Greek MEPs will be elected. -
Areios Pagos, the Supreme Civil and Criminal Court of Greece, is expected to formally announce the lists three weeks before the elections. Μore details are available on the webpage of the Ministry of the Interior.

You have an absolute priority when exercising your right to vote. Polling stations officials have therefore been invited to take concrete measures, while in each polling station there is a specially designed area.
